Learn Spoon Carving - Course I
This hands-on course is suitable for beginner wood carver and the seasoned woodworker alike. The course is geared towards making utensils by using traditional methods. You will learn about the various tools used in spoon making. This 1-day class covers 3-days worth of material and will focus on the basic techniques of carving, and touches upon the history of spoon making, tools, design features and considerations, and the finer finishing techniques and methods. You will learn different hold-down techniques working from provided shop bench with a side and end vice. Each student will be provided with their own shop bench to work from to maximize their learning.
