I've just completed the final move into my new studio space. It has been dedicated and named "Ordinary Miracles". It's has been about 6-months in the planning, but I'm finally moved in and ready for the holiday season. I started with a clean non-finished room and had to finish everything from walls to electrical. Here is a picture of me by my almost "finished" assembly table. I hope to have some creative time to finish up the drawers, doors, and edge banding, but no time for that now. This year has been a banner year for me and I really needed to move out of my shed to have extra room to work. My shed was 10 x 10 or about 100 square feet, but was very useful for what I needed at the time. My new studio pace is 360 square feet and just enough room to expand my operation and take on some furniture projects. "Ordinary Miracles" will be a sacred space, like my shed was, and help me be more productive and produce uniquely beautiful wooden kitchen utensil and an occasional piece of furniture. More on that in the future.
